Instagram Explore Reset

Resetting your Instagram Explore page clears your past interactions and search history, allowing the algorithm to provide a fresh, personalized experience based on your current interests.

What Determines Explore Content?

• Interactions: Posts you like, comment on, share, or spend time watching.

• Following: The categories and accounts you follow.

• Search History: Keywords you search for within the app or on the web.

• Popularity: Posts with high overall engagement.

Resetting Specific Posts

If you don't like a particular post in your Explore feed:

1. Open your Explore tab and tap the post you don't like.

2. Tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner.

3. Select "Not Interested." This signals the algorithm to stop showing similar content.

Performing a Bulk Reset

To clear all personalized recommendations and start fresh:

1. Go to your Profile and tap the three-line menu in the top right.

2. Navigate to "Settings and Privacy."

3. Under the "What You See" section, tap "Suggested Content."

4. Select "Reset Suggested Content" and confirm.

Note: This clears the algorithm's memory of your preferences. Over time, as you like and follow new content, the Explore page will re-calibrate to match your evolving interests.
